Da Ying Pan Village
Year of Establishment
: 1959

​Population: 1,164 in 258 households. There are 64 PALs living in the 5 clusters of the village.
Ethnicity: Yi and Han
People Affected By Leprosy: 64

Geography: About 15KM away from Yuexi County town at about 1600-2100 above sea-level, villagers are distributed in 5 clusters, cluster 1 and 2 locate at the bottom of the mountain next to the school, cluster 3 and 4 in the middle of the mountain and cluster 5 on the top.

Economy: There are 1,300 mu forest land, 900 mu arable lands, 150 mu of land for economy crops and 80 mu of paddy field but the villagers do not have enough irrigation water to flood the paddy field.


Infrastructure:  Most of the villagers and PALs live in the adobe houses built by muds, and some better off households live in brick houses.

Education:  There is a boarding school in the village, providing primary and junior secondary education.
