Mianning 
Baizitian Village
Year of Establishment: 1958
Populationn: 298 in 78 households
Ethnicity: Yi and Han
People Affected By Leprosy: 53 (9 with visible disabilities)

Geography: Baizitian Village is located in the northwest of Mianning County,  about 20 kilometers from the county seat. Accessible by car, the journey is 2 hours by highway to Mianning County and another 30 minutes from the county seat to the village. The village is divided into two main housing groups. There are also houses scattered in the area. Group 1 has 18 elderly PALs who live in a compound run by the Catholic Church. Group 2 has a rehabilitation center that houses 38 PALs and their families.

Economy:
To be completed

Infrastructure: There is no government clinic in the village. The Catholic Sisters do some work with the PALs, tending to wounds and providing simple medicine. Houses are packed earth or brick. They range from 40 to 70 square meters. 

Education:  There is one school, in the village with 4 full-time teachers. To goes up to 4th grade, after which the students must go the central school in town.
