Yanyuan
Ta Er Ti Village Year of Establishment: 1959 Population: 174 in 65 households Ethnicity: Yi and Han People Affected By Leprosy: 54 Geography: Ta Er Ti Village in Yanyuan County is located in the Youshu Township beside the Yalong River. It has an altitude of 500 - 1200 meters and subtropical climate. The rehabilitation villages are in two clusters, 10 and 11. The PALS and other villagers live in the upper, middle and lower parts of clusters 10 and 11. They are connected by dirt roads and the main method of transportation is by motorcycle. Currently there are no cement roads to the village. Villagers must travel by boat for half an hour to get to a bus station for transfer to Xichang or Dechang. Economy: Infrastructure: There is a new clinic located in cluster 10. Education: There is an abandoned school located in cluster 10 but all students go to other schools in Yuexi and Yanyuan. |
